A class perfect for accomplished Silversmiths and beginners, that wish to make a
profitable business. You will learn to make four very profitable, very easy, simple and
quick to make projects that will sell fast at craft shows, art galleries, and special events.
So fast, easy and simple that you will learn how to make up, and finish, up to 50 of these
four projects in one day. Even better is that you can still use your creative side to make
each one different enough to keep your interest in making them, and, more
importantly, different enough that your customers will be interested in shopping at your
display. You will be working with Sterling Silver wire and sheet, using simple soldering
techniques that even beginners with no experience can learn during this class. You will,
also, learn how to do the simplest, but the most difficult solder joint used in
Silversmithing, soldering on a bail onto a pendant. Many different bails will be taught.
You will learn that simple does not equate to easy, and complicated is not the most
difficult and the trick to profitable pieces is to make complicated designs quick and easy.
You will learn how to work quickly and use easy techniques to making your projects.
Polishing using a rock tumbler, steel shot and the correct burnishing compound will be
taught as the projects are being polished. Why tumble polishing? You will be taught that
you will be able to polish up to 50 of some of these projects in less than an hour, but
using only about 10 minutes of your time! We will also discuss how, when and where to
sell your finished profitable projects.
