Soldered Wire Pendant with 5 mm stonesAugust 30, 2:00pm - 5:00pm (ALREADY PAST)Soldering Class By Donald NorrisClass Fee: $110.00Kit Fee: $70.00 Kit will include all Sterling Silver, Hard Silver Solder, pre-notched Sterling Silver heads and all tools and supplies will be included for the class. Students do not need to bring anything to the class.Skill Level: All
Students will taught how to quickly design, bend and solder using hard silver solder two
pendants and polishing. Students will use their own designs and construct them with 18
gauge round wire. They will require many solder joints for each pendant providing many
opportunities for soldering. The easiest and best way to solder a bail onto wire pendants
will be taught. They also learn how to correctly solder easy set Sterling Silver heads
onto their pendants for extra profits and fun. How to set 5mm stones into the heads will
be taught before polishing. Each student will make two Sterling Silver pendants during
the class and make as many copper pendants as time permits for more practice
soldering. You will, also, learn how to do the simplest, but the most difficult solder joint
used in Silversmithing, soldering on a bail onto a pendant. Many different bails will be
taught. You will learn that simple does not equate to easy, and complicated is not the
most difficult and the trick to profitable pieces is to make complicated designs quick and
easy. You will learn how to work quickly and use easy techniques to making your
projects. If you wish to sell at craft shows or art shows this class and project is a must do
for you! These are one of many projects that Don Norris teaches that fall in the category
of Sterling Silver projects that artists can make 50 of them in one day and easily sell
them for $30.00 to $50.00 each, making $20.00 to $40.00 each, or more profit on each
one. If just want to learn and make a great pendant for yourself you will have fun, and
learn how to easily make more projects at home.
